Formed in 2022, Fairfielders for Good Government is a nonpartisan group of Fairfield residents who have organized to provide information and/or take a position on issues related to municipal government and governance in Fairfield, Connecticut. We are an ongoing independent expenditure political committee registered with the Town Clerk.
We are issue-oriented. We do not support specific candidates.
We are strictly independent and nonpartisan, and any money we raise will be used only to support our own advocacy efforts on the issues we decide to address. We will provide full and transparent disclosure of how we expend our funds.
We will not use our resources to support, oppose or endorse candidates or political parties, although people associated with our organization may do so on their own accounts, and may themselves be elected officials and/or candidates for public office.
We may actively seek information from elected officials, candidates and political parties to inform our opinions on various issues, and our positions on issues may align with those of one or more candidates or political parties, but we will never deliberately coordinate our advocacy efforts with those of any candidate or political group.
We don’t claim to be infallible, but we do claim to be extremely diligent with regard to the integrity and accuracy of the information, analysis and opinions we express. We will admit to and correct any mistakes we make, and we will change our position on issues if doing so is warranted by new facts and/or circumstances.
Any material actions or expenditures require the unanimous consent of our officers.
